Black British Ballet Project present Island Movements, a performance piece that tells the story and explores the impact of Windrush on the current generation.
Island Movements tells the story of Windrush and explores its impact of this generation’s experiences of family, community and society. It aims to radically reimagine what Black British Ballet could be for a new generation: powerful, relevant and rooted in their experiences and culture.
This performance is choreographed by Darren Panton and Patrick Williams, with music by Kinetika Bloco.
This is a free event and it’s encouraged that people arrive early to secure a spot.

For step-free access, use the power assisted door at the Piazza entrance in Covent Garden and at the ground-level entrance on Bow Street. There are lifts and escalators which take you throughout the building. The flooring in the building varies – some floors are smooth and tiled, and some are carpeted. The spaces can be busy, loud and bright at times. We have accessible toilets on the Ground Floor, near the Linbury Foyer and on Level 5.
