ENTER THE UNDERWORLD

You’re invited to the trial of Medea and Jason. She’s murdered their children, allegedly, and Jason wants her punished. With Hades and Persephone acting as the prosecuting and defence attorneys, Medea’s fate will be determined.

Background

A journey into the unexpected

Lost Dog offers a serving of Greek tragedy in the underworld of the Linbury Theatre – an alternative festive show to the sparkle of Cinderella up on the Main Stage. Everything you think you know about the myth of Medea is turned on its head in this production combining words, live music and contemporary dance.

Formed in 2004 by Ben Duke and Raquel Meseguer Zafe, Lost Dog combines text, movement and music in dance theatre works centred on storytelling and characters. The company is celebrated for their irreverent and witty takes on well-known tales, such as Juliet & Romeo and Paradise Lost.
